The committee was set up in recognition of the increasing importance of cross-border lending to many of SFNet’s members. It includes six task forces overseeing Data Collection, Reserve Study, Advocacy, Education, Outreach and Monitoring Development.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The committee will also judge the new SFNet Cross-Border Lending Essay Contest, which is sponsored by Goldberg Kohn. The contest seeks essays on any aspect of cross-border finance by SFNet member firms. Said Mr. Kohn, "I think it’s a great way for young employees to make an important contribution to our Association and our industry, and at the same time to receive some real recognition."

A member of SFNet’s Executive Committee, Richard previously served as Co-General Counsel of SFNet, represented SFNet at the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and taught cross-border lending at The University of Chicago Law School.&nbsp;
